The CAMA Emerging Artists Showcase is a series of events taking place throughout California presenting an abundance of talent performing a variety of music genres.  Showcases take place in clubs, retail stores, street festivals, fairs and parks. 

Emerging Artists play before a panel of music industry professionals including radio station music directors, club owners, talent buyers, journalists and record producers.  The judges rank the acts based on several criteria from originality to vocal & instrumental ability to marketability. Prizes are awarded that include recording studio time, gear, paying gigs and the opportunity to play at the California Music Awards.

CAMA Showcases are produced in partnership with corporate and media sponsors. CAMA covers diverse music styles allowing for Showcase events to be developed with specific audience appeal, locales and timeframes in mind. CAMA works collaboratively with its Showcase sponsors to help determine scheduling and music style focus that ranges from alternative to rock to hip-hop, to Hispanic, to DJ to R&B.
